EMDR Therapy
What is EMDR exactly?
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, research-backed therapy that helps people heal from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, and negative self-beliefs.
As an EMDRIA certified therapist I have completed advanced training and supervision and demonstrated expertise in helping clients heal using EMDR.
When we experience trauma, distressing memories can get “stuck” in the brain, causing ongoing emotional pain. EMDR works by using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or auditory cues) to help the brain reprocess these memories, making them feel less overwhelming.
The result? Deep, lasting relief and a shift toward healthier beliefs about yourself and your experiences.
How EMDR Works
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR doesn’t require you to relive or extensively talk about your trauma—making it an excellent option for those who struggle to verbalize painful experiences.
Is EMDR right for you?
If you’ve felt stuck in life—trapped by anxiety, self-doubt, or painful memories—EMDR can help. Before beginning EMDR many of my clients had tried everything to change their negative self-beliefs but still struggled. EMDR rewires these beliefs at a subconscious level, so you don’t have to convince yourself you’re valuable—you’ll know it deep down.
